I met the Bedouin Singer on the steps of Little Petra, a must stop before arriving at the Treasury in the Rose City. I called him the Bedouin Singer, but his home made instrument is not designed to create melody. He is an elderly Bedouin residing at Siq al-Barid, a location used to house visiting traders in antiquity.
